Welcome! I’m Lexi Cuff—an educator, business professional, and advocate for ethical leadership and effective communication. My passion lies in helping students develop the confidence, critical thinking, and communication skills they need for success in both academics and life. I currently teach English and Communication courses, where I work closely with high school students to strengthen their reading, writing, and interpersonal communication abilities while preparing them for college, careers, and responsible citizenship.
With a strong background in ethical leadership and management strategies, I focus on guiding students—many of whom are at-risk or navigating major life transitions—toward building the skills necessary for both personal and professional success. My classroom emphasizes critical thinking, collaboration, and the power of effective communication in everyday life.
I graduated from Western Governors University with a Master of Business in Management and Leadership, where I focused on the communication aspects of ethical leadership and effective management strategies. I also earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Western Carolina University in December 2021, with a minor in Business Law and Special Education. During my final undergraduate semester, I was dual-enrolled at National Paralegal College, where I completed additional coursework in business law, document drafting, and contract negotiations. While living in North Carolina, I enjoyed volunteering with the Down Syndrome Association of the Greater Charlotte Area, where I served on the associate board as a co-chair. This experience strengthened my passion for advocacy, inclusion, and community service.
While completing my graduate program, I also worked as the Business and Communication Manager at an international all-girls sleepaway camp. In this role, I assisted with recruitment and hiring processes, monitored and sourced applicants, prescreened candidates, organized travel logistics, and served as a primary point of contact for staff members prior to their arrival.
In both my classroom and professional settings, I promote active communication, mutual respect, and positive boundaries. I believe that strong communication and healthy dialogue are essential for building meaningful relationships and effective teams. My strengths include problem-solving, team building, active listening, time management, and creating learning environments that support growth for all students.
